The ROOTS are coming to Hudson River Park's Pier 54 in on July 14, 2005 at 7PM for a free show.

More than any other East Coast hip hop "band", The Roots are the most steeped in underground cred. This Philadelphia group, formed by Black Thought (Tariq Trotter), drummer ?uestlove (Ahmir Khalib Thompson), bassist Hub (Leon Hubbard) and rapper Malik B, is deeply respected for their authentic sound and live jams. We suggest you arrive early; these free concerts have a tendency to get super crowded.
