Award Winning Documentary on Black Female Sexuality

Award-winning, eye-opening documentary, Silence: in Search of Black Female Sexuality in America, will be showing Friday, Sept. 9th, 8PM at the Millennium, 66 E. 4ths Sreet (b/w Bowery and 2nd ave)

With the legacy of slavery and everyday realities of slavery in the U.S., caught between the chaste church goer and the hip hop-style Nubian queen, women of African American decent today may find it frustratingly ambiguous to work out their relationship to sexuality.
Mya B., entertains us with street interviews juxtaposed with socio-academic experts and religious leaders talking about contemporary black sexuality that has historically been shrouded in silence.

You can see the trailer on www.shootfilmsnotpeople.com

Tickets are $10 followed by a Q&A with the Director.
